OUR STORY

The origins of the company began in Mexico in 2008 with the DanzaNorte Collective, established by Katherine Horrigan and Arturo Garcia following their international performing careers. By using the abbreviation for Norte (Nte), DanzaNorte evolved into Danzante, which in Spanish may be interpreted as someone whose life is dance.

A Danzante dances for a purpose, expresses emotion and intention through dance, and seeks to explore life through the investigation of movement. Company Danzante, has built upon the values established by the former collective and continues to apply the spirit of Danzante in its artistic endeavors with the goal to promote excellence in contemporary dance with captivating dance productions.
