You will be on the edge of your seat, viscerally engaged with dance and movement from some of DC's world-class dance companies and artists. The VelocityDC Dance Festival returns for its sixth year, following a sold-out run of performances in past seasons. The festival features returning artists alongside an array of Velocity newcomers. All this for only $18 per show!
VelocityDC is a special partnership between the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, Shakespeare Theatre Company, and Washington Performing Arts Society. Designed to showcase and promote the exceptional artistic quality of the DC region's dance community, VelocityDC positions Washington as a top arts and dance destination nationwide.

National Dance Week April 26th 2014
See the company’s latest repertory work, choreographed by Arturo Garcia, Katherine Horrigan and Rachael Mauney as well as the first Company Danzante’s Trainee Program presented as part of the National Dance Week celebration. The events of National Dance week and the International Day of Dance on April 29th, aim to expose and introduce as many people as possible to the enjoyment of dance. Company Danzante present this showing free of charge to the local community and for dance students in training.
